Avengers: Endgame is officially dominating on a historic level.
It's been 12 days since the global release of Avengers: Endgame, and the movie has already past the $2 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, "Avengers: Endgame".
Endgame has earned about $620 million in the US and, along with the $1.569 billion in overseas ticket sales, the film is now in second place behind Avatar for the biggest movie opening.
The Force Awakens ($US 2 billion) failed to outdo both Titanic and Avatar at the global box office, most of us wondered if those records would ever be broken in the near future.

In third was Lionsgate's romantic comedy Long Shot, at US$10 million. UglyDolls didn't fare much better at number 4, with $8.5 million. The voices of Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Wanda Sykes and Janelle Monae are featured. The original Captain Marvel, Shazam! Some audiences seem to be playing catch-up either before or after seeing Avengers: Endgame, and it's helping to give the movie even more staying power than it otherwise might have had. The coming weeks will see the release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, John Wick: Chapter 3, Aladdin and Godzilla: King of Monsters, all of which could deter repeat viewings of Endgame.
