Kevin Durant and Patrick Beverley Both Get Ejected at Same Time

Stephen Curry Warriors

Curry’s 38 points lead Warriors to Game 1 win over Clippers

Durant went up for a dunk and got fouled, but as he was coming down, Beverley flew through the air and grabbed his arm, leading to some jawing and double technicals. Both players were ejected after the play.

Durant's plan moving forward against Beverley, a defensive stalwart and known antagonist, is simple. Aside from the grit-filled battle between Durant and Beverley, let's dive into three things that can be taken away from the Dubs first postseason action.

Durant had words of praise for Beverley after the game.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr wanted his team to watch the end of the Masters, where Tiger Woods reigned supreme. "We talked about it the last couple of days". They defend at an elite level and are incredibly hard to stop both in transition or the half-court. I have a lot of respect for him.

And Clippers coach Doc Rivers wan't exactly happy that it was Stephen Curry who turned out to be the thorn again. With his 386th made three, Curry passed Ray Allen for most 3-pointers in National Basketball Association playoff history. In 91 playoff games, Curry passed Allen who achieved the feat in 171 career playoff games.

Montrezl Harrell led the Clippers with 26 points and fellow reserve Lou Williams accounted for 25 points and nine assists as LA returned to the playoffs after missing last season following six straight appearances.

Game 2 is Monday night at Oracle Arena.
