Meghan Markle was surrounded by some of her closest friends during her baby shower in New York City - and despite being thousands of miles away in London, dad-to-be Prince Harry found a way to be part of the special day.

The couple, who married last May, are also said to have opted for a gender-neutral nursery with white and grey colours.

There's been much speculation over the sex of the royal baby, which E! royal correspondent Melanie Bromley says could be deliberate ploy by Meghan. Despite the predominantly pink baby shower decor, Meghan Markle allegedly announced she and Prince Harry are having a baby boy this spring.

She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender.

"Her exact word was fluid", a source close to the former U.S. actress is said to have told Vanity Fair.

A single mother has proudly showcased her new look after spending an incredible $30,000 on plastic surgery to look like the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to raise their baby without gender stereotyping, it's been claimed.

"She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender", the source added.

Most recently, Kate Hudson revealed that she was taking a "genderless approach" to bringing up her daughter.

"It could be that she has told people to see who the leaks are".

"My body has changed since giving birth, and my self-esteem has lowered because of how things went with the father of my child, I'm hoping this will give me something that I need to get back out there", she said. She is probably more famous worldwide than Meghan is.

The news comes after hints about the baby's gender broke in the media in the past week.

While it's apparent that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were engaging in a playful exchange, it's problematic for a Black woman to have the assertion that her baby daddy may not be the daddy in a world that already thinks Black women are loose.

The royal baby is expected in the spring.
