The north London club, who have missed out on top-four finishes and Champions League qualification in the previous two seasons, are fifth in the table with 41 points, but Emery said fans could not expect permanent recruits in January.

The Arsenal boss was also non-committal when asked about the future of Aaron Ramsey who is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement with Juventus.

"I don't know now his [Suarez's] situation but we can only sign on a loan", Emery said.

"I asked in the last match at Blackpool if he is okay to help us play and he said, 'Yeah, coach, I want to play" and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us.

Emery has already acknowledged that the club are seeking potential loan deals for the window with the obligation to buy and such kind of approach could hamper their prospects of signing Carrasco.

"I don't know how Arsenal will cope with the likes of Carroll, Arnautovic and Anderson, but the Gunners are good going forward so it makes for an entertaining game".

Arsenal pay West Ham United a visit at the London Stadium on Saturday in what will be a crucial encounter for both the capital sides. Every day he's here with us, he's working very well.

"But I am happy with every player today, it is really some injuries that didn't help us in the last matches because we struggled with different injuries with the players".

Suarez, left out of the Barcelona squad for the meeting with Getafe on Sunday night, wants to reunite with Unai Emery, under whom he won the Europa League with Sevilla in 2014-15.

Arsenal confirmed that Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mesut Ozil were all back in full training ahead of facing West Ham. Also, we are giving chances to the young players and finding with them the regularity to be consistent when we need them to be.
