Manchester United's Rashford can emulate Rooney Ronaldo - Solskjaer

Man United entertains Brighton – Can Solskjær make it seven from seven?

Solskjaer: Rashford is in the form of his life

He joined the club as a seven-year-old and was so highly regarded that the notoriously demanding Louis van Gaal handed him his debut in a Europa League tie against Midtjylland in February 2016.

There's no question Rashford has reaped the benefits of playing for a manager without the defensive tendencies which Mourinho enforced upon his squad.

Instead, Ferguson has been making more casual visits to the club he said, including to check in on his former striker Giuseppe Rossi, who is training in Manchester as part of his latest bid to return to fitness.

"He's not a bad person to learn off, is he?" he said, per the Mirror. You can tell that his position on the field as a player was as a forward, but he still wants us to take good care of our penalty area too.

"He can only get better".

His strike against Brighton was his 41st goal for United, with Ronaldo having scored 25 times and Rooney 45 times after 150 games.

Rooney, now playing his football in the United States, said over the weekend that the club should go all out to attract Mauricio Pochettino from Tottenham.

In response, he said: "Yeah, definitely".

The 21-year-old England worldwide, who expertly turned away from Pascal Gross before curling a fine shot into the top corner, has netted five times in six league matches following the Norwegian's appointment in December. At the beginning of the second half, we created some chances and we should have put the game behind us but, in any game, you get problems and challenged and Brighton more than other teams because they are so resilient and stubborn.

He has made an impressive start to his managerial career in the time since.

However, instead of ticking him off, the Norwegian actually found his display of frustration rather endearing.

A 2-1 win over Brighton made it six, with an FA Cup success over Reading along the way.

How many goals do you think Rashford will score this season?
