Ranveer's comments have left many people disappointed and angry on social media. The incident has subsequently thrown their selection for the upcoming one-day global (ODI) series against Australia into question with the Indian cricketing body, the BCCI, yet to decide on the two-match ban recommended by Vinod Rai, the chairman of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) that oversees such matters.

A few hours later it was confirmed that a decision has been taken to send them home from Australia. "As a responsible platform, we have removed the episode from Hotstar with immediate effect". While Rahul was somewhat restrained, Pandya did not exercise any restraint.

Hardik had boasted about seeing multiple women on Koffee With Karan and his parents pride in the same while being degrading towards women. In response to a question on why he doesn't ask for the names of women at nightclubs since he has trouble remembering them, he had said, "I like to watch and observe how they (women) move".

Rahul, on the other hand, is yet to react to the controversy.

Supporting the suspension, Harbhajan said that he supports the decision and it came along expected lines. He further told India Today, "Look, the punishment could be a two-match or three-match ban".

In another round of unfriendly email exchange (in possession of PTI), CoA member Edulji has expressed her reservation at BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, who himself was embroiled in sexual harrasment case, conducting preliminary inquiry and fears a "cover up". Virat Kohli on Friday said the Indian team doesn't align with the "inappropriate" views of the batsmen.

".it's good that we have someone like (Ravindra) Jadeja who can do the all-rounder's role if a scenario like that occurs", Kohli said.

Kohli's side sealed its first Test series victory in Australia this week when the fourth match ended in a draw.

The likes of Rishabh Pant and Manish Pandey will now be in contention to be their replacements.

Karan asked Rahul to share the story behind his first century, Rahul said that he was partying all night in Miami as he was unaware of the fact that he was playing the next day.

It is speculated that the BCCI might bar players from appearing on entertainment shows owing to the ongoing furore.
