Missing teen whose parents were shot is found alive, suspect in custody

BREAKING NEWS: Jayme Closs Found Alive in Douglas Co.

Jayme Closs, 13, who went missing nearly three months ago from her Wisconsin home, was located alive Thursday evening, according to the Barron County Sheriff's Office.

Police say this is a fluid, active investigation and have not yet released the name of the suspect. "On Oct. 15, just before 1 a.m., authorities received a 911 call in which nobody spoke to the dispatcher but "a lot of yelling" could be heard", according to a dispatch log released by the Barron County Sheriff's Department and obtained by CNN.

Jayme Closs was abducted from her home in Barron, Wisconsin on October 15, the same day the teenager's parents, James, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, were found shot dead inside.

Deputies arrive after a 911 call from Denise Closs' cellphone.

"To all of you who joined us in keeping Jayme Closs in our thoughts and prayers.tonight our prayers have been answered!" Investigators said Closs was quickly ruled out as a suspect.

Denny Kline, board chairman in the Town of Gordon, says he first learned Jayme was found while listening to a police scanner, which he has for work.

Since her disappearance, investigators pursued thousands of tips and reviewed dozens of surveillance videos.

Barron, a town of less than 3 square miles, has a population of about 3,300, according to US Census figures.

As agonized relatives await word on Jayme, her aunt pleads with whoever knows where she is to contact the sheriff's department. "Praise the Lord", she said.

Shortly after this a suspect was taken into custody in regards to this case. "It was like I was seeing a ghost", Peter Kasinskas said.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said the sheriff's office in Douglas County, about 70 miles north of Barron County, located the girl.

It was her neighbour, who had been out walking her dog, with Jayme alongside her.

Jayme's aunt Sue has spoken out about the news, telling WCCO-TV that her niece is in the hospital.

He also thanked the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, which responded to the scene when Jayme was found, and other law enforcement agencies that helped in the search. The FBI offered a cash reward for information on her whereabouts and hunters in the area were also urged to be on the lookout for clues.
