Ronaldo left out of Portugal's upcoming global matches

Mayorga has been interviewed by law enforcement twice in recent months and will cooperate further with the Las Vegas police department's reopening of its investigation into her case.

Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday denied accusations by a former American model that he raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009 and said his conscience is clear.

Ronaldo - arguably the best player in the world - was left off the roster for an October 11 match against Poland and an October 14 game against Scotland.

"My clear conscious [sic] will thereby allow me to await with tranquillity the results of any and all investigations".

The 33-year-old was also missing from the last Portugal squad, with Santos citing the player's summer move to the Italian champions as the reason.

Coach Luis Enrique has recalled Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke and Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata to the Spain squad for this month's internationals against Wales and England, although forward Diego Costa has been excluded.

Photos show Mayorga and Ronaldo partying at a Las Vegas hotel that year. Kathryn's lawyer told the media that she came out taking #MeToo movement as inspiration.

Ronaldo offered her clothing and then followed her into a bathroom where she was going to change clothes, it said.

She signed a $375,000 settlement agreement, according to the suit, that required her silence on the matter though her lawyers said it should now be voided.

It said the assault left her with "severe emotional and bodily injuries including but not limited to anal contusions, post-traumatic stress disorder and major depression".

Mayorga is now seeking more than $200,000 in a lawsuit claiming she "lacked the mental capacity to participate in negotiations...due to the injuries suffered".
