Kelly was arrested early Tuesday on a charge of first-degree criminal trespassing after allegedly standing outside a residence, entering and then being chased out by the homeowner.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. There was no alcohol found in Kelly's system.
Kelly, who is the nephew of Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing before being booked at the Arapahoe County Jail at around 1:17 a.m.
Early this morning, he was arrested once again. "Our organization has been in contact with Chad, and we are in the process of gathering more information", the release said. The release points out that while officers were responding, "they received information that the male was now inside the residence". "We're going to look into this and look into it very seriously, because the charges are very, very serious and we understand that so we will look into this and then make decisions as we go".
Despite the unfortunate nickname, sports pundits have been impressed by the strides Kelly has made. He subbed in for Case Keenum amid "Kelly" chants to kneel out the time remaining in the first half.
"When the team has a get-together, [it] is always a good thing", Elway said. After winning the Junior College National Championship, he transferred to Ole Miss. During the team's bye week, he'd attended the game of his younger brother, and ran out of the stands and onto the field when a late hit on his brother, the team's quarterback, led to a scuffle between both sides.
Yikes. Kelly didn't look THAT wonked out in his mugshot, although perhaps he's smiling because he's not entirely aware of the full circumstances of what happened?
