Arnold, who said he was waiting for the LAPD, fired back, "Bullshit".
"I am going to keep hammering Mark Burnett until he shows America [the tapes]", Arnold said in July.
Actor Tom Arnold confirmed the tapes have been handed to reporter Ronan Farrow at the New Yorker magazine. You lie like your insane husband attgacked me you psycho. "I'm filing police report & suing you for defamation", he wrote.
Soon after, Arnold's pal Patton Oswalt tweeted a photo of them together along with this caption: "I'm with @TomArnold, everyone".
Various reports have claimed that last night's tussle between Arnold and Burnett started as both men arrived at the party at the same time. The pair reportedly settled down before entering the venue. Things have been tense between Arnold and Burnett ever since Arnold's allegation that there are tapes from Donald Trump's show The Apprentice, of which Burnett was an executive producer, that prove Trump is a bigot.
With The Hunt for the Trump Tapes debuting on Viceland on Tuesday, there's also the possibility that the fight between Arnold and Burnett was a stunt.
It is unclear what provoked the fight and Burnett has not yet publicly commented.
Arnold told Kimmel with confidence that he had seen the tapes and knew exactly what was on them. Arnold believes the tapes reveal Trump using the n-word and other epithets.
The eight-episode series follows Arnold as he searches for rumored recordings of Trump that are said to be potentially damaging. "[Burnett] called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a bad and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa", Trump tweeted last month.
One attendee told Variety that Arnold could be heard asking Burnett about outtakes from "The Apprentice". Arnold sent his first tweet about it at 9:24 p.m. PT. "She made it up".
