Kanye West has officially changed his name ahead of his new album "Yandhi".

Our sources say Kanye's working with Spike Jonze to put the finishing touches on the performance's creative direction.

Kanye also reiterated his ambition to become the USA president one day, although he admitted that some issues, such as crime in his home city of Chicago, can not be solved easily. I will pull them into the conversation of what I'm feeling at that point and get their perspective. "That's a Democratic plan", West said, flanked by SNL cast members and his collaborative musicians Kid Cudi and 070 Shake.

You can never predict what Kanye West will do next - but we really didn't see this one coming. A portion of the speech was captured by comedian Chris Rock and went viral on social media.

And it keeps going... still can't that #MAGA hat but appreciate Yeezy trying to force ❤️ I guess?

Still, he thanked the people behind him for giving him the platform even though they "don't agree". He concluded his time on stage by saying there is a strong need for a "dialogue, and not a diatribe" to make changes in the country. "He's racist.' Well, if I was concerned about racism I would've moved out of America a long time ago".

Some were puzzled about how to pronounce the name, while others were more tickled by the fact that Kanye had apparently misspelled the word "formerly". The rapper, who has been outspoken about his support fort President Donald Trump, first appeared as a Perrier bottle but later hit the stage with MAGA hat. It's the title of the album West released earlier this year. The show will be hosted by Star Wars actor Adam Driver.
