Chen's Talk co-hosts previously discussed their longtime leader's absence on the September 10 premiere, with Sharon Osbourne confessing, "It's very embarrassing and upsetting to have to talk about [Julie's] husband, but... we feel it's right".
The reports about this come only days after she showed her full support towards her husband by signing off on Big Brother as 'Julie Chen Moonves'.
Julie Chen is reportedly leaving "The Talk" after nine seasons. In a statement, she said she would be off for a few days, but she did not address the allegations against her husband.
Page Six reported on Monday evening that she was leaving the show, but said "a date for her exit hasn't been set yet". Leslie's a good man and loving father, a devoted husband and an inspiring corporate leader. She did, however, return to her other CBS show, Big Brother, where she seemed to subliminally support her spouse, signing off at episode's end by referring to herself as "Julie Chen Moonves".
Chen will remain at her her reality hosting job for Big Brother.
She was also absent from "The Talk" Monday, fueling rumors of her departure.
One insider told the outlet that it's still not clear if she is leaving on her own accord or not but they "wouldn't be surprised" if she was actually asked to quit. In the past, she had not used his last name.
'He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being.
"The Talk" co-host released a statement when Moonves was ousted, stating that she planned to be with her family but would be on-air in time for 'Big Brother. "I fully support my husband and stand behind him".
The TV titan had been married to Nancy Wieselfeld for 26 years when he left her for TV host Chen.
