Chelsea's Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (R) celebrates saving a shot with Chelsea's English defender Gary Cahill during the English Premier League football match between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in London on January 3, 2018.

However, Barcelona have since signed Bordeaux winger Malcom for a fee that could rise to £37.3m which could spell the end of their interest in Willian.

The Brazilian worldwide was supposed to arrive alongside his teammates for the Blues" camp on July 27th, but his absence led manager Maurizio Sarri to admit he was "not happy' with Willian and will seek urgent talks with him this week.

One of Jose Mourinho's favourite players, Willian, has confirmed to Brazilian press that he will remain a Chelsea player, quashing any Manchester United rumours.

"I am not happy about this situation but, before I answer, I would like to speak to him".

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois reportedly tells Chelsea that he will leave on a free next year unless he is allowed to join Real Madrid this summer.

Willian has said that he is happy at Chelsea and for the moment the club are not keen to sell the winger this summer.

They have tabled a £300,000-a-week offering - an £80,000-a-week upgrade on the deal he now has, which runs out in two years' time. "I don't know in the future". It depends especially on him, I think. "Every club wants to keep their top players and we are trying to do it".

The futures of Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante have been the subject of speculation, too, with both set to return this weekend but not in time to feature in Sunday's Community Shield with Manchester City.
