The one saving grace in Pellegrini's favour is that he has won six of his twelve head-to-head meetings against Emery with all teams, drawing three and losing three, but recent history would suggest that there will only be one victor when Arsenal and West Ham meet at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
Pellegrini added: "I think everyone praised Jack Wilshere not just for one game because if he could play in a normal shape without injury, he was always a player who makes a difference because he is a different player", said Pellegrini.
With Arsenal hosting West Ham on Saturday, the London derby against Manuel Pellegrini's team - also losers in their opening games - offers Emery a chance to steady the ship.
Wilshere will return to the Emirates on Saturday for the first time since deciding to join West Ham when his Arsenal contract expired, ending a 17-year stint at the club he joined as a boy. I think there is a good reception for him here. The Gunners have only lost once against the Hammers in all competitions since 2007 - winning seventeen and drawing four in that time - and they love welcoming their London rivals to The Emirates - eight wins from their last nine meetings with West Ham at home, including a thrilling 4-1 success in April of last season.
"I spoke with him for 15 minutes here in Colney before he left", the former Paris Saint-Germain boss revealed.
Arsenal fans have wanted to see the two experienced and talented goalscorers leading the line in the starting XI and if results continue to go the way they are, Emery may tinker his tactics sooner rather than later and play both stars up top in a bid to turn their fortunes around. "And then, he chooses what the best was for him in his future", Emery said. For me, we didn't have the control in our first two matches. "But, I [hope] the best for his career".
"We are help to help him".
"He's working very hard", Emery said. "We need to be patient with him because the injury was an important injury".
It's never good to hear that players are fear losing when conceding in games.
