The 38-year-old actor was spotted paying a visit to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 25), where his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend is now being treated after a reported overdose. "Phil and Demi are very close and it's hard for both of them, but Phil wants what's best for her and if she's not in a good place, he can't work with her".
This debacle is definitely a low point for the singer, who's been open about her addiction to drugs that began when she was just 17-years-old.
Her reps have not addressed allegations of drug use, but they did release a statement on Tuesday assuring fans she was on the mend. "This could be inpatient or outpatient", the source notes.
Lovato's family is going to do everything in their power to help get Lovato back on track and are making plans to get her straight into rehab, a source told Entertainment Tonight.
