Maisie Williams says goodbye to Game of Thrones



Williams' co-star Emilia Clarke also said her goodbyes to the show in June 2018.

In the post Williams indicated she might be taking some time off after filming the epic series, using the hashtag #immasleepforthenextfouryears however her next project, The New Mutants, helmed by The Fault In Our Stars director Josh Boon, is now filming leaving her with little time to rest. Is that Williams confirming that Arya is the final character left alive?

With the series slated to return in 2019, fans - some 40,000 of whom commented on Williams' post - will have plenty to chew over. Whether she witnessed it as a bystander, or whether she was the one to inflict the pain, blood has followed Arya for a better part of the past seven seasons.

Probably not. Right now, we can just assume that there is a lot of bloodshed at the hands of assassin Arya in "Game of Thrones" season eight.

Some suggested it was simply referring to the fact that Maisie is the last of the actresses to film her scenes. Among the hashtags she used was a #lastwomanstanding - don't worry, that's nearly certainly not a spoiler of any kind.
