India were so comfortable that when Rohit Sharma fell for 32, picking out Eoin Morgan at cover off Rashid, Rahul and Kohli could just knock around singles in a sedate conclusion. They have a batting order that can destroy the most lethal of bowling attacks and it is this department that India will be a bit anxious about.

There were more runs for Jos Buttler - of course there were - but otherwise only Jason Roy and David Willey reached double figures as Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav bamboozled his way to five for 24. And the point was that we haven't played in those wet and damp conditions ever as a team. Since the last World T20, only Australia of Full Member nations have scored their runs quicker in the powerplay period and England score a boundary every 4.58 balls in the first six overs, again second only to Australia. England are on a high after humiliatingly whitewashing the Aussies in the ODI series and then convincingly beating them in the one-off T20I match. He's only the second player to score half-centuries in their first three innings opening, following Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene in 2010, and tonight he carried this England effort nearly singlehandedly.

It should have come two balls soon too, after KL Rahul had given the Englishman a life. Only Jos Buttler with 69 off 46 balls seriously troubled the tourists as England finished on 159-8. But England were already blessed with top order players before the move and Buttler's elevation has simply added to the number of batsmen who would, ideally, open the innings.

"It was lovely to watch him play the way he has, because when you gain momentum in this format and you continue for that long, it always feels good to watch". Morgan was caught in the deep off a slog sweep and then, in the space of two balls, both Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root were stumped for golden ducks.

Sony Ten 3 and Sony Ten 3 HD will provide live television coverage of the match in India. It was a fine example of setting a platform and kicking on.

Powered by brilliant performances from Kuldeep Yadav and KL Rahul, India opened their England tour with a thumping eight-wicket victory in the Twenty20 global at the Old Trafford Ground on Tuesday.

Kohli said that the experience of playing in different T20 leagues, especially in the IPL, is a contributing factor towards the same and singled out Buttler as an example. Until the last day of the tour, we continued to have that mindset even though we lost two games. All the feedback was that it was a good wicket.

"It doesn't matter whether I get runs or don't get runs [he got 258 at an average of 129], what I want is the team to play well and the team to win". Kuldeep bowled well and we know he can bowl well.

"But we are in the middle of our summer and we have played a lot of cricket". Take a bow KL Rahul but not to forget Kuldeep Yadav, who was absolutely sensational, picking a five-for. They said it's a great thing to be a part of and a great time to be here. "It's going to be a hard challenge". "[We need to] Face more deliveries".
