RAM: Up to 32GB of DDR4 memory. Apple says it also now supports double the eDRAM, 16GB RAM max, and up to 2TB SSD.
Apple today unveiled its next generation MacBook Pro featuring up to 6-Core processors and 32GB of memory, True Tone Display and the Apple T2 chip. It takes ambient light color and brightness into consideration and then adjusts the display's white point and illumination to present a consistent white in every environment.
The keyboard, now in its third-generation, has received some work too, to make typing quieter.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro gets a bit more attention.
The new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar deliver more power to pro users. Up to 2 terabytes of storage is also offered. Both the 13-inch and 15in MacBook Pros with Touch Bar will now come equipped with the latest eighth-generation Intel Core i5, i7 and i9 processors, bringing them into line with competition from Windows PC manufacturers such as Huawei, Dell and others.
"The MacBook Pro 13 is priced from RM7,499 while the 15" version is priced from RM9,999 in Malaysia. That's $2,400 more than the best 2017 MacBook Pro you could buy. The chip, already present in iMac Pro, reduces the load on the processor and hence increases the efficiency of the new pro notebook.
Pre-orders for newer MacBook Pro models have started, and the shipment can be expected as early as tomorrow.
A second-generation T2 chip is in Touch Bar, which is used for encrypted storage, secure boot, and Siri. The sleeve costs $179 for the 13-inch MacBook Pro and $199 for the 15-inch model.
Here are the pictures Apple provided for the new laptops: Apple also launched new leather sleeves for MacBook Pro laptops.
Both the models are out now on apple.com for purchase.
